je pense que le don d'organes, pour parler de manière globale, rest aujourd'hui quelque chose de tabou dans notre société, car il met à mal l'intimité propre du donneur, comme si celui-ci devait être remercié pour ce qu'il ferait en donnant un peu de lui pour aider un malade à aller mieux. Dans le cas de don de moëlle, cela me semble être perçu différemment, car plus impersonnel: on ne donne pas un organe à soi, ou une partie de soi, mais on donne plutôt quelque chose de plus inaccessible, de moins concret. Il faut être âgé de 18 ans à 50 ans, et être en bonne santé.

  On vous fait une prise de sang pour déterminer votre HLA, le système génétique tissulaire qui fonde un individu.
  Si un jour, un patient du même HLA que vous a besoin de moelle, on vous rappelle. Vous êtes l'objet d'analyses complémentaires pour être vraiment sûr que vous êtes compatible.
  Ensuite, l'intervention a lieu dans les trois semaines environ. Vous entrez en clinique pour 48 heures.

  Sur 135 000 donneurs potentiels dans le fichier, 200 sont prélevés chaque année. Il faut bien avoir conscience que ce don, anonyme et gratuit, est un engagement de longue durée.
